Dion Dedicates song to Chuck

The Margiotta family had the pleasure of taking in doo-wop entertainer Dion Dimucci's concert at Resorts in Atlantic City.
Mike Margiotta, the brother of Lt. Chuck Margiotta, the FDNY lieutenant who lost his life at Ground Zero, already had met Dion during an earlier gig at Westbury (L.I.) Music Fair after the attacks on the World Trade Center. During that performance, he introduced the song "Abraham, Martin & John" by way of those who gave their lives for our country on 9/11.
After that show, Mike spoke to the Rock-and-Roll Hall of Famer about his brother's passing, and since that time, Dion, who lives near Ground Zero, took the time to ask about Lt. Margiotta, his local firehouse and visited www.ChuckMargiotta.com.
"Many of the firefighters in the city had worked with my brother, and spoke to Dion about what a character he was," says Mike who adds that over the last six years, when Dion introduces the song "Abraham, Martin & John," he dedicates the tune to Chuck and wears the T-shirt from Chuck's motorcycle event, which proceeds are earmarked for a scholarship fund in his name.
