 MARGIOTTA SOCCER BASH

As if we all didn't know already what a great guy CHUCK MARGIOTTA was and how loved he was, here's some more evidence.

Did you see how many kids, adults, etc. were involved in that first Lt. Charles "Chuck" Margiotta Memorial Soccer Tournament held by the St. Rita's Association the other week at the YMCA over in West Brighton?

Holy cow, there were 15 different teams in five separate divisions for the all-day tourney and those numbers compute to way more than 100 kids, plus coaches, and refs (Henry Vu and Chuck's daughter Norma Jean took on this thankless job).

Naturally, the whole Margiotta family from patriarch Charlie to, of course, Chuck's widow Norma and children, the aforementioned Norma Jean and Charlie, on down to the rest of the clan took part. Proceeds from the event will fund scholarships to St. Rita's.

From what Frank Ruocco, who's the St. Rita's soccer director, tells us, the whole day was a real kick! (Sorry.)
